CS462 Grading and Related Matters
Grades
Your grade will be based on the following:
- Class (and overall course) participation (10%)
- Lab Assignments (individual) (50%)
- Final group project (15%)
- Final, written exam (25%)
Course Project
The course will require that students complete a group project emphasizing the knowledge and skills taught in the course.
Lab Notebook
You are required to keep an online log of your actions. The log will be reviewed by myself or the TA's from time to time and is subject to spot review. I recommend that you find a free, online blogging tool, like Blogspot, for this. Tell the TA the address of your RSS feed for inclusion in the class Planet.
Final Exam
The final exam for this class will be a written exam emphasizing the lab material and the course content. The final exam will be design oriented and you will be required to make architectural and implementation decisions about a proposed system. The course project will be your best guide in preparing for this work. If you don't participate fully in the assignments and the project, don't expect to do well on the exam.
