Jerry Fiddler on Connected Devices
Nate's paper today reminded me of a talk I listened to by Jerry Fiddler, the founder and CEO of Wind River Systems. Pay particular attention to what he says (first half of the talk) about resource contraints and reconfigurability in mobile systems.

Identity Paper
If you're interested in identity and are looking for some papers, this PhD dissertation might provide some ideas. Its very mathematical, so beware.

Welcome to CS601R: Middleware
Welcome to CS601R: Middleware.
The About page will give you a little more information about what the class is going to cover, but don't be surprised if that changes in some material ways during the semester. The purpose of a 601 class is to explore new topics and that's what we'll do. If I see something interesting, we may head in that direction.
Be sure to check the grading page and the calendar.
